Crypto banking app Bitwala relaunches via new partnership with Striga

European crypto-banking platform Bitwala, formerly known as Nuri, is coming back after ceasing operations in 2022. European cryptocurrency banking platform Bitwala, formerly known as Nuri, is coming back after ceasing operations and returning customer funds last year. Bitwala is re launch ing operations under its original name, in partnership with the support of the banking infrastructure company known as Striga, the firms said in a joint announcement to Cointelegraph on Nov. 8. As part of the partnership, Striga is providing Bitwala with “Banking and Crypto-as-a-Service,” enabling the crypto banking app to draw on its trading and card-issuing functionality, Bitwala CEO Dennis Daiber said. Bitwala, which rebranded as Nuri in 2021, filed for insolvency in August 2022, citing liquidity issues coming amid a massive crypto bear market that was triggered by the Terra crash. Three-judge panel says Craig Wright wasn't in partnership with David Kleiman

A jury in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida ruled that friends David Kleiman and Craig Wright never formalized a partnership to develop the original Bitcoin protocol and mine some 1.1 million bitcoin. As a result, jurors said, there is insufficient legal grounds to demand that the two men split half of the purported billions of dollars worth of bitcoin. That is, of course, if Craig Wright even controls those bitcoin — which is highly doubtful. The estate of David Kleiman appealed the jury’s decision that no partnership existed to the US 11th Circuit Appellate Court. However, 11th Circuit judges affirmed the Floridian jury ruling. David Kleiman passed away in 2013. His estate is managed by David’s surviving brother Ira Kleiman, who argued that Wright transferred intellectual property from W&K Info Defense Research LLC. NEAR Foundation and Alibaba Cloud have formed a partnership , boosting the advancement of web3 technology in Asia and the Middle East. The move has triggered an over 9% surge in the price of NEAR tokens. The NEAR Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports the growth of the NEAR protocol ecosystem, has joined forces with Alibaba Cloud, the computing and storage arm of Alibaba, a Chinese multinational technology company. The collaboration seeks to advance the spread of web3 technology in Asia and the Middle East by using Alibaba Cloud’s network of developers.
